Po malé odbočce k hostelům jsem zpátky s fotkami z Londýna :). Druhý den bylo snad ještě krásnější počasí, než ten předchozí, takže jsme nachodili kilometry po centru (Google Mapy napovídají, že to bylo něco okolo 12,5 kilometru a v sobotu přibližně stejně) a okukovali památky, které se prostě neokoukají, i když jste je viděli předtím už třeba dvacetkrát. Nový objektiv mě začínal bavit čím dál víc, navíc Londýn s modrou oblohou, to se tak často nestává. Tak se na něj se mnou pojďte ještě jednou podívat :).
After I talked a bit about my relationship with hostels in my last post, here I am, back with pictures from the second day in London :). The weather was probably even more perfect than the day before, so we walked a lot around the city centre (Google Maps suggest our "little walk" was almost 8 miles long) and we just admired the sights that never get old, no matter how many times you've seen them. I was still falling in love with my new lens and you don't really get the chance to see blue skies in London that often, which means I couldn't stop myself from taking pictures. Here they are, so let's go back to London for a moment :).
Začala jsem u Tower of London, odkud jsem se přes Tower Bridge, okolo Shardu a podél řeky dostala až na Waterloo Station, kde jsem se potkala s Kájou a Edou.
My friend was kind enough to let me stay at her place (thanks again Anastasia, I had the best time!) and so from Canary Wharf I got to the Tower of London, crossed the Tower Bridge and walked past Shard and the river to Waterloo Station, where my friends Kaja and Edo were waiting for me.
Od Waterloo Station jsme se vydali směrem k Buckinghamskému paláci a cestou se ještě dotoulali pěknými uličkami až k Westminster Abbey.
Our next stop was Buckingham Palace, so we headed towards St. James's Park but since we were mostly just wandering around, the pretty streets led us to Westminster Abbey, so we stopped there for a minute as well.
Přes Green Park a Picadilly Circus jsme se ocitli v China Town a Soho, které bylo naším posledním cílem ten den. Dali jsme si pauzu v kavárně a pak už byl čas vydat se zpátky domů. Cestou jsme to vzali ještě přes Trafalgar Square, kde jsme se rozdělili, a mě po procházce přes St. James's Park na Victoria Station čekala pětihodinová cesta autobusem zpátky na sever.
Through Green Park and Picadilly Circus we got to China Town and Soho, which was our last stop we had planned for the day. We sat down for a short coffee break and after that we realised it's time to head back home. We walked back to Traffalgar Square and from there they went to Waterloo and I had to go to Victoria. At least I got to walk through St. James's Park again before a five-hour journey back home.
